Dr. Mohammad Ghazvini, MD, FACC, FHRS, is a distinguished cardiologist at NOVA Cardiovascular Care, specializing in electrophysiology. Dr. Ghazvini is renowned for his expertise in cardiac electrical system procedures and cardiac implantable device procedures.
Dr. Ghazvini earned his medical degree from Tehran University of Medical Sciences and completed his residency and fellowship at Howard University Hospital. He then pursued advanced fellowship training in Cardiac Electrophysiology at George Washington University Hospital. The American Board of Internal Medicine has certified him in both cardiovascular disease and clinical cardiac electrophysiology.

Dr. Ghazvini has made significant contributions to the field, particularly in catheter ablation without X-ray, which is crucial for patients who wish to avoid excessive radiation exposure. He has performed over a thousand such procedures, including on pregnant patients, with excellent outcomes.

In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Ghazvini has served as an Assistant Professor and Director of Invasive Cardiac Electrophysiology at Howard University Hospital and College of Medicine. He currently holds the position of Director of Cardiac Ablation and Electrophysiology at Sentara Northern Virginia Medical Center.
